44. do you tan in the nude?

have you seen me? i’m white as a ghost and i live in northern minnesota. i don’t tan, period. i very much love my porcelain doll complexion.

62. what do you wear to bed?

this varies greatly. if i’m sleeping with my girlfriend, then nothing or a pair of panties, maybe a t-shirt, too. if it’s just me, and it’s warm, then again, t-shirt or tanktop/cami and panties. if it’s cold, which it often is, then i might go for long, comfy socks and pajama pants.

66. cheetos or fritos?

neither. i have much better ways to ruin my diet.

74. what is your favourite book?

i have many, but the most important to me is “annabel" by kathleen winter, the story of a child who is born with both male and female reproductive organs to a couple in the far north of canada in the 1960s. the father decides that the child will be raised as a boy. the book is about the child’s years growing up, not knowing the truth, and the child’s feelings of being "a boy with a girl curled up inside." it’s a gorgeous story, and it is the book that made me decide i had to transition. even though i was a girl plain and simple — there was no boy left in me i felt so many of the things as a child that the protagonist of this book did, and the book had me in tears as i read it each night in bed. today, one of my two middle names is annabel, in honour of this story.
