this is something i’ve thought about very much lately, because i’m finding myself more open to a wider variety of gender than i once did when it comes to attraction. i’m sure it has something to do with my own transition and thoughts of how i myself am changing.
my heart will always melt instantly for feminine boys. but the spectrum of whom i’m attracted to really ranges from feminine cis boys to trans girls to trans boys. i’m very attracted to delicate features and androgynous themes, people who blur the lines. in the end i find myself more interested in those features than whether the person is male or female (biologically or in terms of identity) or something else.
it’s almost easier to say the one thing that i am not attracted to in any way, shape or form is any sort of hypermasculinity. i’m not attracted to muscles or facial/body hair or aggressive personalities. the boys i like are cute, clean and sweet. :)
so, physically, that’s what attracts me most. but honestly, in the end, it’s always, always going to come down to personality and shared interests, and how the other person makes me feel when i’m around them. because i’m not attracted to people with whom i feel no connection, even if i think they’re physically perfect.
i’m an outgoing person in general, but i’m painfully shy when it comes to approaching someone i like. so my attraction often goes unnoticed. ~_~
i sort of try to keep my blog as a gallery of what and whom i find attractive. there are plenty of examples here of people i’d like to pin me up against a wall and kiss me (for a start). ^_^
